Life is the flower for which love is the honey. – Victor Hugo

It seems that honey is as old as time itself. A cave painting at Araña Caves in Spain that’s around 8,000 years old depicts a human harvesting honey, which shows that even our ancient ancestors recognized the benefits of honey.

It’s safe to say that honey has been a part of the lives of humans, and our love for it has never wavered. In fact thanks to establishments like the Honey House Honey Bee Farm, our love for it continues to grow.

About Honey House Honey Bee Farm

Honey House Honey Bee Farm is a relatively new honey bee farm located at Purok 4 Brgy Bulacnin Lipa City. They just started operations last year, but you would think that they’ve been in business for longer than that with their wide availability of honey-based products that are patronized not only by Lipeños, but even by people in and out of the country.

Owned by Mark Anthony Moncayo and family, their farm is located at their backyard, so they’re pretty hands-on. Their shop showcasing the different products manufactured using the honey they’ve harvested is located in front of their house.

Since their house is just along the highway, it’s very accessible.

Take Advantage of their Free Farm Tour

Bees are very fascinating. They set up colonies led by a queen bee, with the rest of the bees focused on producing the honey. When you see them at work, you’ll know why the term, “busy as a bee”, was coined.

I personally got the chance to tour their farm for free. Mark was kind enough to educate me on how these colonies work. I also got to see first-hand how bees work!

Mark assured me that the bees won’t sting unless of course you threaten them. Photo op!

Enjoy 100% Pure Honey

Of course, their main product is 100% pure honey.

I encourage that you try their honey to make sure that you’re taking advantage of the benefits of honey. Here are just some of the benefits:

  • It has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
  • It has zero fat and cholesterol.
  • It’s generally healthier than processed sugar.
  • It also has anti-inflammatory properties, allowing you to alleviate allergy symptoms.
  • It can provide a boost of energy.
  • It can help with memory.
  • It can suppress cough.
  • If you’re having trouble sleeping, honey can help.
  • It has humectants. These can help moisturize your skin. Honey can also help with acne.

These are just some of the benefits of honey but you can already see why it’s been in use since ancient times. Just make sure that you eat 100% pure honey to enjoy these benefits.

A Wide Variety of Honey-Based Products

Honey House Honey Bee Farm, thanks to its wide variety of honey-based products, makes eating honey easier and more enjoyable. I tried the peanut butter and coco jam, both made better with their honey.

Pandesal smothered with peanut butter with honey.

Well, I think I ate 5 or 6 pandesal. I couldn’t decide which is better, so just smothered both in the pandesal.

I enjoyed them with a hot cup of kapeng Barako. Thanks to the caffeine and the boost of energy from the honey, I was on-the-go the rest of the day.

I also tried honeycomb.

You’re supposed to just suck out the honey, which is a good way to enjoy honey. Oh, and here’s some honey on honeycomb action.

I also tried a sip of the honey cider vinegar.

It’s obviously not as sour as vinegar you’d use for adobo. It tastes almost wine-like. It should be perfect for salads. You can also drizzle it over meat or fish for a nice kick.

Honey is also good for the skin, so it makes sense that Honey House Honey Bee Farm sells 2 types of soaps.

The 10 in 1 soap, thanks to honey’s moisturizing properties along with the other ingredients, can help slow down and even reverse signs of skin aging. The oatmeal with honey soap is perfect for cleansing your skin.

Selling honey-based products can be a very lucrative business. The Honey House Honey Bee Farm receives a lot of customers in their shop and they also ship a lot of their products to other cities and even other countries. Check out one of the rooms in their house that they use for storage for orders ready to ship.

If you want to help spread the benefits of honey and earn money in the process, you can be a distributor of their products. Just contact them for more details.
