For months now, Hello Lipa has been hearing a lot of great things about BRGR ST. We’ve been planning on making a trip to Batangas just to try their burgers out, but something always comes in the way. This is why imagine our excitement when we’ve heard that BRGR ST. is taking their burgers to Lipa City.
A Bit of History
The name is fitting as it literally started in a street in a subdivision in Batangas City. Chef Jomar Aldover, the owner of the restaurant, started it in July of 2014 as a part time gig since he was still working in Lipa City as a head chef. The restaurant used to be open just once a week every Friday, but then again, Chef Aldover couldn’t say no to the growing demands so they started serving people more days of the week.

Speaking of growing demands, a lot of Lipenyos had to travel to Batangas just to grab a bite of these succulent burgers. Chef Aldover probably saw this untapped potential, and this is why he decided to set up shop in our city.
A BRGR ST. Review
The Hello Lipa team finally had the chance to visit the restaurant in order to try it out. The first impression is good as there’s ample parking space in front of the building. You have to take the stairs because the restaurant is on the second floor, but that serves customers well because you need to work up quite an appetite for what lies ahead.

The interior is quite nice. It has about 7 tables and should have enough room for about 25 to 30 people. We loved the fact that it’s air-conditioned and it has some interesting art on the walls. You can also see the kitchen so you can see how the burgers are being prepared.
One of our team members, who used to regularly go to Batangas just to eat at BRGR ST, was our guide during our visit. She immediately recommended that I try the BRGR Tower:
I did a quick glance on what’s in the BRGR Tower and said to myself, “Challenge accepted!”
The BRGR ST veteran ordered her favorite, the Chef’s Choice, while the other member of our team played it safe with the Classic Cheese BRGR. The BRGR ST veteran said that their burgers are better tasting than the burgers of _________, so yeah, we were pretty excited.
It took their cooks about 20 minutes to serve us our burgers which is a pretty good time. We immediately salivated at the burgers that were served in front of us. If you’re a cheese lover like me, better get some paper towels so you can wipe your drool off of your table.
I grabbed a couple of fries because I was famished but was mildly disappointed that they’re cold because I prefer my food warm. But it’s not a big deal. The fries were delicious especially their gravy fries.
Of course, we weren’t there for the fries so after taking a few pictures, we decided to take a bite. Every bite is packed with amazing flavors. The patties are cooked just right. They’re juicy. Now, the cheese tends to overwhelm, so if you really want to taste the patties, you can probably request to take it easy on the cheese. But give it a chance. Chef Aldover concocted some great burgers packed with complementary ingredients.

One of our team members said that it’s indeed better-tasting than ________. Yeah, I totally get why some people feel that it tastes better. That says a lot because the burgers of that joint are the bomb.

Try it out to see for yourself. The prices are affordable which explains why a lot of students go there for their lunch. Best of all, the burgers do taste amazing!
