However, we just discovered a beauty salon that somehow made it work. The Beauty Loft, located at the Victory Center, Mataas na Lupa, Lipa City (beside Coffeebean and Tea Leaf), takes pride in being one of the more high-end and trusted salons in Batangas. They also proved that high-end can also be affordable, especially if you’re going to consider value for money.

The Beauty Loft was founded back in 2010 by Aimee Vistan. It was established to satisfy the demand for quality beauty treatments accompanied with professional services at affordable prices.
Speaking of beauty treatments, The Beauty Loft offers a wide array of services catering to your beauty needs such as cut and style, hair treatments, make-up, and nail spa services performed by their highly skilled artists. We’ve tried several (and I mean SEVERAL) of these services.
The Beauty Loft follows a strict hygiene policy that demands the use of medical graded sterilization machines in their daily services. I saw one of their sterilizers that look like what you’d see at a hospital operating room. They take sterilization seriously.
The space itself is cozy which is perfect since interaction is encouraged. With the young and amiable General Manager, Ms. Katrina Vistan, running the show, you will feel right at home. It’s the closest thing to a home service that you can get.

I asked Ms. Katrina how she defines and envisions beauty for her clients.
“Beauty is being confident in yourself and who you are. It is The Beauty Loft’s mission to bring out the best in our clients. That is why we have creative stylists who really establish a personal connection with each customer,” says Ms. Katrina.
“Each service is tailor suited to their appearance and personality. We want to make them see the beauty they already possess by enhancing it. All of our clients are our models. They strut in confidence after coming to The Beauty Loft,” she follows.
Just to give you an idea, we were there for 6 hours. The hours flew by fast because Ms. Katrina was always there to assist us and make us feel at home. There were a lot of other clients and Ms. Katrina was like a debutante going from one table to another just making sure that her guests are comfortable and having fun.
She trained her stylists well as far as customer service is concerned. We were immediately at ease when we first met them. But of course, you’re interested if they can deliver on their promise. But knowing that their stylists are trained regularly to improve their services, we had a good feeling that they’ll deliver.
Services We’ve Tried
Here are the services we’ve tried along with our thoughts:
- Cut and Style
I just told them to surprise me. Simply put, I like what they did. I feel that the hair style complements my features and they explained the rationale behind the hair style that they chose for me. It’s simple but still fashionable which is perfect for my lifestyle.
My wife wasn’t planning on getting her hair cut, but her stylist recommended a trim to complement her soon-to-be new color. This shows her expertise that’s shown by all their stylists. We really did see the difference. The overall look became better.
- Elgon Color
I can see some graying strands so I wanted to have my hair colored. They chose ash brown for me because they wanted a professional but still fashionable color. I liked that they didn’t just slather the solution on my hair. They did so meticulously. They explained that making the roots of my hair darker than the rest of the strands make my hair look thicker. Who knew that there’s a science behind hair coloring?
They used the Elgon brand on my hair. It’s a professional hair color brand from Milan that’s one of the most trusted brands in over 70 countries.
- Organic Color
They used the organic color treatment for my wife’s hair. Now, it’s important that I point out that my wife never had a hair color treatment before because she’s conservative when it comes to her hair color. Her hair stylist, along with Ms. Katrina, was able to convince her to go for it. They chose the copper brown color for her because my wife is not yet ready to go for something lighter.
The solution is organic which helped appease my wife. We loved the results especially since the stylist applied a layering and highlighting technique. My wife has been receiving compliments of her hair color left and right.

- Lycopene Scalp & Hair Treatment
My hair and scalp are constantly exposed to the harmful rays of the sun. I also shampoo every day which I just found out is not recommended. So yes, I could use a lycopene scalp & hair treatment.
I loved the treatment process itself. It was very relaxing. I could really feel it working its magic on my dry scalp and hair.
- Brazilian Keratin
My wife regularly has her hair relaxed because she didn’t know that there’s a better and more affordable treatment option. The Brazilian keratin treatment is done to make your hair straighter, livelier and smoother by sealing a liquid keratin treatment into your hair.
My wife is now a believer in the Brazilian keratin treatment.
NOTE: There’s also the higher end option which is ACAI Brazilian Blowout Treatment.
- Threading
They also introduced the threading treatment for me. Women are familiar with this form of treatment and understandably as a man, it’s my first time to undergo it. Basically, they used a thread expertly to thread stray hair around my eyebrows and even in my cheeks.
Now, I know that society will dictate that it’s not a treatment for men, but you have to try it to appreciate it.
- Eyelash Perming
This treatment gives you lashes that are perfectly flipped up without the use of an eyelash curler. The effect was obvious and outstanding. Even our daughter’s nanny complimented my wife’s lashes when we got home even if we didn’t tell her that my wife had her eyelashes permed.
- Eyelash Extensions
Our friend, Charisse Talacay, joined us to have eyelash extensions. Charisse has beautiful round eyes and the eyelash extensions really draw attention to her eyes. The eyelash extensions were perfectly done by Ms. Danica. Cha even said that she fell asleep during the treatment which tells you that Ms. Danica has delicate hands.
- Waxing
Charisse also had her armpits waxed by Ms. Jessica. There’s not much to say about armpit waxing because it simply works or it doesn’t. At The Beauty Loft, their armpit waxing treatment works. In this sleeveless blouse season, it’s a must.
- Hair and Makeup
We had a bit of time left for a hair and makeup treatment and Cha was the willing subject. Her stylist worked her magic in less than half an hour. Cha is used to darker shades of lipstick and her stylist used something lighter and applied makeup to make the whole look work. She worked on Cha’s hair a bit and voila!
We can just imagine how magical it would have been if her stylist had more time to work on Cha’s hair and makeup.
Other Services
They have a lot of other treatments that we’ll surely try next time. They have Olaplex treatment that connects the broken bonds of your hair which is perfect if you have bleached or colored hair. Think of it as a stem cell treatment for your hair.

This is a treatment that my wife can recommend. She’s a fan of the Brazilian Blowout treatment.
It’s one of the best hair treatments to tame your hair. It will soften your hair. It can revive boring hair and with proper maintenance, the effects can last up to 3 months.
