For several years now, the Multimedia Arts students of De La Salle Lipa have been holding the annual Multimedia Arts and Design (MAD) Summit. This year’s version promises to be the best and the biggest.

This year’s theme is The Constellation of Art and Media in the Millennial Universe. It will be held on April 13, 2018 at the De La Salle Lipa Sentrum. The summit will be from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Registration starts at 7 AM.

This Year’s Speakers

Yours truly is a guest speaker at the event. Joining me are some of the best names in social media. Here are some details about the subject matter experts as written by the MAD Summit 2018 team:

Jayzar Recinto is a content writer and the head blogger of Hello Lipa, a lifestyle blog for Lipenos that features food ventures in Lipa City, Batangas. He is also the founder of Roaring Web Solutions, Hello Batangas and Foodies in Batangas.

Antonio Bathan is known for his Spoken Poetry performance in Pilipinas Got Talent with his performance piece, “Pakbet”, wherein he incorporated the concept of love by cooking the said Filipino dish. He is also a member of Dripped Art Movement and Tanghalang Dal’wa Singko.

Maqui Castelo, or known as “californiamaqui” in YouTube, is a creative with skills in writing, modeling, graphic design, photography, and videography. While studying in Ateneo De Manila University, Maqui formed a production team with his friends, Khalil Ramos and Cristhian Escolano, entitled “Limitless”, which produced Philippine Airlines’ video “The Heart of the Filipino”. He is also a member of the famous Ateneo Vlog Squad or AVS which we’ve known to love in YouTube for their adventures and personalities. Side note: He is also Candy Magazine’s Candy Cutie!

Katsy Garcia is an illustrator and dance party instigator currently based in Manila, Philippines. She graduated with honors from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s Multimedia Arts program in October 2016. Katsy has a background in print & web design as well as branding, but most of her work now focuses on illustration. She is currently an independent freelancer but is open to possible representation. She is famous for her illustrations which include Ben&Ben’s logo, Young Star PHL’s Wanderland Infographics, and Adobo Magazine.

YouTube star Pau Sepagan, also known as “ROGERRAKER”, is famous for his eponymous channel’s content. He has gained popularity there for his original short films, as well as his personal vlogging adventure series VlogMeyts with CONGTV and vlogs with his friend, Emman Nimedez.

Before Pau became famous, he launched his YouTube channel in November 2010.

Bella is a YouTuber from Adober Studios known for her beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and fun video contents. This young and vibrant content creator gained over 300,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, more than 250,000 followers on Twitter, and 100,000 followers on Instagram.

Emman Nimedez is a filmmaker, comedian, actor and Facebook personality, visual storyteller of Emman Nimedez Films, and YouTuber from Adober Studios who creates short films, parodies and vlogs which garnered the attention of many Filipino millenials. He gained more than 150,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 80,000 followers on Facebook.
