Resto.Kicks is the first and only establishment offering sneaker cleaning and restoration services in Batangas. Owned by millennial sneakerhead Kit Anthony Aguilera, it promises not only to clean your shoes, but bring it back to life!
Kit is a self-confessed sneakerhead who earned his chops shopping at ukay-ukay to find cheap sneakers. Wanting to bring them back to life, he studied and mastered how to restore them. This experience allowed him to put up the Resto.Kicks shop.

I went there with a couple of pairs. This Bata Star Wars pair of shoes is relatively new.
I’ve used it a few times and as you know, it’s been raining the past few weeks. So yeah, it’s dirty.
I could have thrown it into the hamper to be cleaned with our tubal. But I gave Resto.Kicks a chance to see if they’ll do a better job.
Kit deep cleaned the shoes using the SHOELUTION mixture that he has in the shop.
He cleaned every inch of the shoes, even the dirt that’s stuck in the tiny holes. He also air-dried it as opposed to drying it in the dryer (NOT RECOMMENDED) or under the heat of the sun (ALSO NOT RECOMMENDED). Here’s the result.
As you can see, it’s just like when I first bought it! Now I don’t have to worry about wearing my good sneakers in this rainy season because I can rely on Resto.Kicks to clean it.
I did have a bigger challenge for him. This Adidas Superstar is a personal favorite of mine. As you can see, it’s been used and abused.

- Remove the laces to clean them separately. You can also use SHOELUTION or you can wash them like clothes.
- Use a shoe brush to get rid of dirt and mud.
- Use a q-tip to clean those hard to reach areas.
- Clean the insides of the sneakers as well.
- Air dry in a well-ventilated area instead of in the dryer or in the sun.
