Last February 26 to 27, 2018, the Philippine Dental Association as led by its national president and proud Lipeño, Dr. Mark Villalobos, held a very successful free dental clinic. The initiative treated an estimated 1,200 Lipeños from all walks of life in this two-day event held at the Ospital ng Lipa.
This program is part of the month-long celebration of the 14th National Dental Health Month happening from February 1 to 28, 2018. Under the presidency of Dr. Mark Villalobos, the Philippine Dental Association successfully held events and programs all over the country, culminating in this free dental clinic.
A team of dentists from Taiwan flew in for the free dental clinic to provide support to our local dentist volunteers. It’s not every day when dozens of dentists, both local and foreign, lent their expertise for free. Patients were understandably very thankful for the opportunity to be treated by highly-skilled dentists from the Taiwan Dental Association in addition to the amazing dentists of the Philippine Dental Association.
In this free dental clinic, patients received free dental education, oral examination, flouride treatment, extraction and other dental health services. These services are fitting of this year’s theme, “Ngiping Inaruga Mula Pagkabata, Malusog na Ngiti Baon sa Pagtanda.”
Lipeños can’t help but be proud of this massive accomplishment by fellow Lipeño, Dr. Mark Villalobos. It takes a great deal of work, passion for one’s craft, and love for public service in order to organize and successfully hold an event like this.
