In pursuit of transforming Sosyal Place into a premier destination for relaxation and an exceptional escape experience in Lipa City, Monroe Dimaano, the visionary behind Super MLD Hotel and Resort and D’ Baristroe, has recently embarked on a new venture. Within the compound, he has established Baryoe Pamilya, a haven dedicated to Filipino dining.

During the anniversary celebration of Super MLD Hotel and Resort and D’ Baristroe last December 15, 2023, Baryoe Pamilya officially opened its doors to the public. A few months later, we had the pleasure of dining at this establishment while staying at Super MLD Hotel and Resort. Allow us to provide you with a glimpse of their menu, the ambiance of the place, and their services that you might be curious about.

Tilapyang Ginata

As Filipinos, particularly Batangueños, we have an affinity for dishes infused with gata (coconut milk). At Baryoe Pamilya, this culinary tradition is beautifully showcased in their Tilapyang Ginata. Imagine a tilapia fillet bathed in coconut milk sauce, balanced with a touch of sweet soy sauce—it’s a flavorful tribute to our culinary roots.

Pinakbet (Squash Bowl)

Baryoe Pamilya’s Pinakbet instantly stole the spotlight during our lunch. It transforms the familiar Pinakbet into an elevated masterpiece. Yes, there are fresh vegetables—eggplant, bitter melon, and string beans—sauteed in shrimp paste sauce. But here’s the twist: they’re nestled inside a squash bowl, crowned with crispy fried pork.
