1. Can you please introduce yourself to our followers?
Hi there, my fellow Lipeños! I’m Clarissa Daniella Ching, 20 year old from Barangay Tambo. Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration major in Financial Management, I also serve as the Vice President for External Affairs in Lipa City Colleges’ Central Student Government and holds a position as a Sangguniang Kabataan Councilor. Leading and advocating for youth voices are very close to my heart.
2. Can you describe your usual day?
My usual day goes to school, Sangguniang Kabataan duties, student council duties and also promoting brands and modeling in some events that can help me sustain my personal needs and school fees.
3. Can you describe the modern Lipeña?
For me, a modern Lipeña is someone who possesses both humility and confidence, and of course, someone can be proudly showcasing what Lipa City has to offer.
4. What’s your favorite Lipeño food? Why?
My favorite Lipeño food is the Sinaing na Tulingan. There’s something special about lalo na kung ipa-pares sa rice and patis, especially when it’s bahaw. SOBRANG SARAP!
5. What made you decide to join Miss Lipa Tourism 2024?
Actually, being miss lipa tourism is a big responsibility. I decided to join Miss Lipa Tourism because I want to be an Instrument that can promote and showcase what Lipa City has when it comes to tourism.
6. Why do you think you should win Miss Lipa Tourism 2024?
I should be the next Miss Lipa Tourism because I put all my dedication and hard work into this pageant, not only for the title but also to be someone who can stand tall to help and be the face of my beloved city.
7. How do you plan on helping your fellow Lipeños as a candidate for Miss Lipa Tourism 2024?
As a SK Councilor and as one of Miss Lipa Tourism Candidate, I would advocate us Lipeños and even people outside our city using social media to instill environmental and tourism awareness. These will all hopefully maximize the benefits of tourism in Lipa and the environment and would also hopefully maximize tourists’ satisfaction in visiting our land.
8. What is your advocacy?
Since Lipa City is one of the highest tourist destinations in Batangas, it makes it the second biggest waste generator in Batangas province. With this and as one of a Miss Lipa Tourism Candidate, I will use my voice to advocate everything about ecotourism which involves lipeños and nature to be together. I will use the knowledge and fame that I will attain in this pageant to involve local communities in the development of my advocacy by giving them awareness on what we can control in our city’s tourism.
9. What’s your message to your fellow Lipeños?
To my fellow Lipeños, let’s work together to preserve and showcase the beauty of our city for generations to come. With this, we can make Lipa City shine even brighter.
10. If you could choose 3 things (food, places, people, etc.) to promote Lipa City, what would they be?
We all know that Lipa is known for food and places. That’s why we have the slogan #eatpraylovelipa. In terms of food, I would recommend the Sinaing na Tulingan, which is fully cooked the traditional way, which is through palayok, and has kalamyas na tuyo. When it comes to places, it would be Sitio Tagbakin Lake, where you can walk and jog around the area. You can also have some coffee while watching the sun. Lastly, me being a Lipeña. It is because Lipeños are known for being hospitable, kind, and caring, and most of all, they are true to themselves.
11. Anything else you want to tell us?
