Lipa City – The Lipa City Tourism Arts and Culture Council recently had an election for its new batch of officers for the year 2018- 2019.  Minnie Atienza was once again re-elected as president, followed by Luchi Resureccion as vice president, Fe Peña as treasurer and Atty. Gretta Resureccion as secretary.  Heading the committee for attractions is Atty. Jillian Kristin Macasaet; Nina Maralit for amiability and museum; Ramelo Mendoza for accessibility, Mary Ann Luz for heritage and Culture and Joel Peña for activities.  Some other members include Abet Narvaez, Efren Villapando, Shaira Delgado, Vincent Duke and Faviola Hidalgo.

The first event of LCTACC this year is the Flores De Mayo last May 26 (click here for pictures).  Themed as “Bagong Pagsibol” the event which is in partnership with the city mayor, Hon. Meynard A. Sabili and MAS Foundation Chairperson Bernadette Sabili, symbolizes hope to rehabilitate the coffee industry in Lipa.   It was joined in by the candidates of Ms. Lipa Tourism, some barangay officials and representatives from the private sectors.

On the works is the maiden issue of Lipa Lifestyle Magazine which is set to launch this coming June. 

This coming foundation week celebration of Lipa, the Lipa Tourism Council will also hold the pageant night for Ms. Lipa Tourism where 13 candidates will vie for the Miss Lipa Tourism 2018 title (see them here).

The Kapeng Barako Festival is also set to be staged this October and some other fund raising events for the benefit of rehabilitation of Museo de Lipa. The Lipa Tourism Arts and Culture Council is a non-government organization dedicated to uphold the culture of Lipa through tourism.  It works closely with the local government of Lipa City with its mutual thrust to invite tourists and investors in the city.
