The place is obviously simpler than more expensive places that offer unlimited Korean BBQ grill. But honestly, itβs not bad. Itβs pretty good for a place that offers this insane of a deal. It reminds me of that Korean BBQ place featured in, βWhatβs Wrong with Secretary Kimβ.
Itβs not air-conditioned, but itβs well-ventilated. There are nice Korean drama-inspired decors that add to the experience.
Another good thing that adds to the experience is the attentive staff. Theyβre quick on their feet and are pleasant.
The Meats
You get four varieties β plain, sweet, spicy, and combination of sweet and spicy. I feel that the meats are flavored to fit the palate of those who like their meats sweet. Even the spicy has a hint of sweetness. The sweetness is surprising at first, but itβs nothing that the unlimited ssamjang wonβt fix.
I like how the meats are sliced thinly. I believe they used to be thicker. They cook pretty fast on the grill. They also absorb the flavors better.
Oh, and I highly-recommend that you level up to the PHP 298. Youβre getting beef and itβs still crazily affordable.
The Side Dishes
I like how they have unlimited egg and cheese! Itβs a good addition to the experience. They also have a wealth of side dishes. I was told that it depends on the day and the availability of side dishes. Although theyβre committed to serving 4+ side dishes with your order.
We were lucky enough that lechon kawali and sisig were available when we were there.

Itβs ridiculous at this point that this is just PHP 198/PHP 298.
The Verdict
Sarangyup β Lipa City will exceed your expectations especially if youβre going to consider its price points. It will be unfair to compare it with places that offer unlimited Korean BBQ at PHP 500 per head. But you will go home full and satisfied, but craving for your next visit.
Not bad for PHP 198.
