The Batangas StrEAT Fair, initially launched in 2019 by The Outlets at Lipa, provides a platform for local food and non-food vendors to showcase their businesses and offers visitors an opportunity to celebrate Batangas’ diverse food scene. This year marks the 4th edition of the fair, with a focus on the various coffee blends offered by cafes across Batangas. The theme for this year’s fair is focused on coffee and art and was co-organized by The Outlets at Lipa, Chalebrations Events, Lipa Photography Circle, and Recinto Marketing Communications x Hello Lipa.

The event took place at the Parkade, with coffee shops positioned in the central area and other food vendors situated in a roofed alfresco section. There were over 30 vendors at this year’s Batangas StrEAT Fair who provided visitors with flavorful delights like pulled pork, baked goods, Filipino desserts, chicken wings, and sushi, to name a few.

Initially, this event was meant to go live in mid-September, however, due to the Taal volcano vog incident, the event was pushed back a few weeks. This event ran from October 13 to 15 from 11 AM to 9 PM each day and the schedule of events for each day was as follows:

  • Day 1: Food, Coffee, and Crafts Fair + Buskers Fest
  • Day 2: Lipa Photography Circle: Free Photography Workshop + Fashion Shoot, Influencer Food Crawl
  • Day 3: Ala eh, Latte! Art Throwdown by Cafe de Lipa + Lomi Eating Contest

With a focus on fostering connections between businesses and the community, the Batangas StrEAT Fair provides a unique opportunity for vendors to sell their products, know their consumers, and expand their reach.

With the growing busker community in Lipa, The Outlets at Lipa gives them a chance to perform live on stage, adding to the lively atmosphere of the fair.

Some of the businesses noted that this was their first time participating in this kind of event. Despite being newcomers to the bazaar scene, these businesses quickly found their footing and experienced success at the Batangas StrEAT Fair. The positive feedback and support from attendees and fellow vendors have left these businesses eager to participate in future events and continue growing their presence in the community. The affordable items, variety of food, and prime location were a great find for the attendees (which included students, working professionals, and families with young kids and/or pets).

Networking and Content Opportunity for Creators

Under the guidance of Recinto Marketing Communications, a Public Relations and Influencer Marketing agency, the second day of the Batangas StrEAT Fair transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity. Content creators from across Lipa and Batangas were united to capture their unique take on the essence of the event, showcasing the diverse food offerings, exciting activities, and energetic atmosphere.
