When you see these items on a menu, it’s just normal for you to assume that you’re at an expensive restaurant. After all, these are dishes that you’d often see at an Italian restaurant, and this type of restaurant can really be expensive.

Well, a cozy café in Antipolo del Norte is out to prove that delizioso Italian food doesn’t need to be expensive. What if I tell you that you can enjoy Aglio Olio Peperoncino for only PHP 115? How about Creamy Mushroom with Truffle for only PHP 150? That Chicken Florentine? It’s only PHP 110.

At Due Fratelli Café, the prices will make you go, “Mamma Mia!

About Due Fratelli Café

Due Fratelli is Italian for two brothers. It’s a fitting name for this café as its heart and soul are two brothers who grew up in Italy cooking and enjoying the dishes that they’re serving here at Due Fratelli Café. With passion for good and affordable food shared by their family, they now have a café that’s worth checking out.

The café specializes in Italian dishes. They have pasta dishes, salads, rice meals and drinks.

The Pasta Dishes at Due Fratelli

Big or small, expensive or not, an Italian restaurant will be judged by its pasta dishes and rightfully so. Due Fratelli Café has a short but impressive lineup of pasta dishes.

We started with the Aglio Olio Peperoncino.

I love Aglio Olio and their version is one of the best I’ve tried. It’s seasoned perfectly and that olive oil base is to die for. I’d wipe bread, any type of bread, all over that plate to make sure that I get everything.

The Creamy Mushroom with Truffle is also worth trying.

It has the perfect creaminess. It’s lip-smacking good.

Their Pesto is also very good.

My wife who doesn’t really like Pesto enjoyed a couple of forkfuls. The almond slivers are a nice touch and provide a nice contrast in texture.

Rice Meals for Something Heavier

We also tried a couple of their chicken rice dishes. First up is the Chicken Parmesan.

It’s hard to go wrong with a thick cut of chicken smothered with a red sauce with popping Italian flavors brought upon by tomato and basil and topped with a healthy drizzle of Parmesan cheese.

The Chicken Parmesan is good, but the Chicken Florentine is better.

The creamy Bechamel sauce is thick and full of Italian flavors. Topped with wilted spinach, it’s a sinful dish that’s also good for you, if that makes any sense.

Perfect Drinks with Your Meals

The Caramel Macchiato is a sweet and refreshing way to get your caffeine boost.

You can get it hot or cold.

If you’re looking for something as a treat, try the Double Chocolate Matcha or Java Chip.

If you’re not careful, you’d consume the whole glass before you take your first bite.

Other Offerings to Try

On a diet or just looking for some greens for your diet? Try the Caesar Salad.

I loved the crispy greens!

Order some Nachos as well.

It’s a good snack to munch on while waiting for your order.

Hey, they have desserts! Their Panna Cotta is very affordable at just PHP 65.

This is silky smooth.

We also tried a couple of cakes. There’s the Red Velvet.

That frosting is to die for.

They also have Ube Flan.

Now, this is a DESSERT!

Here’s their menu!
