I remember the day when I found out that Samgyupsalamat Korean BBQ Restaurant is opening in Lipa – at a location that’s just a 5 minute walk from our home. It was a mixture of excitement and dread. There’s excitement that one of the most popular Samgyupsal places in the Philippines is finally opening a branch in Lipa. There’s dread because there goes my diet out the window.
Oh well. Unlimited meat means unlimited happiness, so there’s that.
About Samgyupsalamat
They’ve been doing this since 2012 so you can say that they’re a pioneer. Samgyupsalamat is word play combing Samgyupsal (pork belly) and salamat (thank you). Basically, it’s saying “Thank you for eating Samgyupsal.”
But really, shouldn’t we be the ones thanking them?
It’s an unlimited Korean BBQ restaurant that has more than 30 branches in Metro Manila alone. I had the pleasure of trying it in their Better Living branch in Parañaque. Now, it’s in Lipa City, and it’s taking the city by storm.
About Samgyupsalamat Lipa
It’s located at the brand new Den Bldg. in Brgy. Tambo. It’s just along JP Laurel Highway so its location is hard to beat. It’s located right beside Season’s Bldg. It’s the building where ABS-CBN is.
It has 2 floors so there should be a lot of room for everyone. But this is Samgyupsalamat that we’re talking about so expect to wait a bit for a table especially during lunch and dinner hours. As I found out, the wait is worth it.
Unlimited Korean BBQ
They have 2 options – Unlimited 1 and Unlimited 2. Unlimited 1 gives you 5 types of pork (Dae-Pae, Bul-Jib, Yangnyum Dae-Pae, Gochujang Samgyup and Yangnyum Bul-Jib). On the other hand, you get an additional 5 types of beef for Unlimited 2 (Beef Samgyup, Yangnyum Beef, Boolgogi, Gochujang Beef and Sarsa Beef). You’re basically getting 10 types of meat with Unlimited 2.
The price varies depending on the unlimited promo that you’re getting and the time that you’re dining in. Here are the prices for Samgyupsalamat Lipa.
- Unlimited 1 is PHP 399 from 10 AM to 3 PM and PHP 449 from 3 PM to 12 AM.
- Unlimited 2 is PHP 449 from 10 AM to 3 PM and PHP 499 from 3 PM to 12 AM.
I don’t know about you, but Unlimited 2 sounds so good right now.
You also get 6 kinds of sauces including cheese because cheese goes well with meats. You also get unlimited rice, side dishes and iced tea.
Speaking of side dishes, make sure to try their steamed egg.
I have to admit that I didn’t like it at first when I first tried it at their Better Living branch, but now I’ve fallen in love with it. Add a bit of cheese and it will change your life.
Unlimited Meat with No Time Limit is Unlimited Happiness
Yes, you can enjoy your unlimited meat for as long as you can. This is why Samgyupsalamat offers amazing value for money. Your PHP 399 to PHP 499 can get you a dish or two at a restaurant but here, you can get up to 10 kinds of meat, 6 kinds of sauces, rice, side dishes and iced tea. Best of all, you’re not working against a time limit. Feel free to sit down, bond with family and friends while you grill, and enjoy to your heart’s content.
