EDITOR’S NOTE: The Miss Lipa Tourism pageant is holding its Platinum celebration this year as it celebrates its 20th year. We want to introduce the Miss Lipa Tourism 2020 candidates to our followers. For this series, we sent a list of questions to the candidates. Read on for their answers so you can get to know them better.

Course\Occupation: Graduated with the course of Bachelor in Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management (De La Salle Lipa) – Admin Oficer at Villar Group of Companies
Motto in life: “It is not really about living your life to the fullest, it is really about finding your purpose in life. Because if you know what your purpose is, everything will follows”
Past awards: Most Valuable Player (2019) – Southern Luzon Colleges and Universities Athletic Association Volleyball League.
1. Can you please introduce yourself to our followers.
Hi I’m Rose. I’m 22 years old having the athletic, adventurous and politician self-inside me. I’m excited to be with you in this journey. I’m eager to share my self to you and to learn things from all of you.
2. Can you describe your usual day?
My usual day is just a usual. Starting my day with a blessing of God through prayers then having a breakfast with my whole family. Then I will prepare for work, go home, bond with the family, allot time for workout, watch movies, take a good bath and it ends again with talking to God and listening to nature music until I fell asleep.
3. Can you describe the modern Lipeña?
For me a modern Lipeña is not the one defined by others before who is afraid and being underestimated on what a Lipeña can do. She is someone who knows her worth, knows what she wants, what is her purpose and has full of love in everything. She has a brave personality but always wearing a smile on her face. The smile that can change a person’s bad day to a good one.
4. What is your favorite Lipeño food?
My favorite Lipeño food is Lomi. I am so inlove with it because I grow up with a family who makes Lomi as our usual food in the house. My tito, my father and my Lolo loves to cook Lomi especially every Sunday when all my cousins and family are all present in our compound.
I can say Lomi binds ALL OF US TOGETHER. Love love love.
5. What made you decide to join Miss Lipa Tourism 2020?
Honestly, I want to try something new. Something that is far from my personality but I know will make a big impact in my life and will open new doors for me. Furthermore it is due to the fact that joining this pageant will also help me to continue my passion in serving people and bringing a change to other people lives. It will help me to inspire more people, businesses, organizations and others who have the capability to provide help to be one of the reasons of the hope of the people who in needs.
6. Why do you think you should win Miss Lipa Tourism 2020?
I think I should be the Miss Lipa Tourism because I know why I want to win. I have my plans and I have my goals. I know what my purpose is and that is to use this title to inspire other people to join me in my advocacies and plans which is to give hope to the hopeless and change their lives by our simple helps through fund raising activities, business ventures and others while at the same time promoting our place.
7. How do you plan on helping our fellow Lipeños as a candidate of Miss Lipa Tourism?
I will use this opportunity to inspire people, organizations, and others that can provide more resources to fund and support my passion in serving and helping other people because we need to admit that it is really hard to make this projects comes to reality like weekly feeding programs, assistance for the education of the children who has not enough money to study like the sampaguita vendors in Robinsons Lipa and Lipa Cathedral and even providing home for the homeless with the limited resources that I have.
“All of us wants to help even the ruthless ones, but the problem is they don’t know how, so I believe I can be one of the ways.”
8. What is your advocacy?
My advocacy named “BE ONE OF THE REASON: THE SOLUTION”. This advocacy has the goal to inspire other people to be one of the reason of a change in one’s life by their simple help and at the same time being part the solution of the problem. It is proven that all of us has a good spot in our heart to help. It is in our nature. This advocacy can bring domino effect on our society, when other people sees what we are doing and it brings good result, more people will be inspired, it will just naturally gets bigger and bigger until most of the people will filled with full of love to help. This advocacy will not only help the people of Lipa who are in needs but it will promote the place itself for having maybe not the best but GREAT PEOPLE who have full of love and purpose in life. All of us are helping each other and bringing each other up.
I believe that to “Be one of the reason is the solution.”
9. What’s your message to your fellow Lipeños?
To all the Lipeños, I just want to thank you for being the pride of Lipa. Let us continue to work as ONE.
10. Why do you deserve to be chosen as the Hello Lipa Brand Ambassadress?
To become an ambassadress of any organization and brand comes with great responsibility but great opportunity also. I deserve to be the Hello Lipa Brand Ambassadress simply because I believe I am not only a Lipeño but a Lipeño with a LOVE for ALL. Not for fame but to help and to spread love instead of hate. I’m in love with the place, the food, the culture, the products and the PEOPLE of lipa. Being one of the SK Councilor, youth representative of Lipa since 2014, strolling around Lipa due to competitions of volleyball that I participated in and being a volunteer of JCI Lipa that are providing help in different calamities that happened since then. I saw how beautiful Lipa is. I saw what are the needs. I saw what to improve. And I realize that what really great here is the culture and the PEOPLE. I believe, to be one of the Hello Lipa Ambassadress you should know who or what are you going to be proud of in this city and you can understand what’s really happening here in Lipa.
11. Anything else you want to tell us?
Thank You Sir Jayzar and to his wife for giving us the opportunity to express ourselves and inspire other people. You are such a blessing to all of us.
