EDITOR’S NOTE: The Miss Lipa Tourism pageant is holding its Platinum celebration this year as it celebrates its 20th year. We want to introduce the Miss Lipa Tourism 2020 candidates to our followers. 1. Can you please introduce yourself to our followers?
Hi Lipeños, I’m Hannah Mendoza – one of the candidates of the Miss Lipa Tourism 2020. It is an honor for me to introduce myself to my fellow Lipeños. Continue reading this and get to know more about me.
2.Can you describe your usual day?
I can describe my everyday life as a blessed simple day. Home, church or volley court are the only places I spend my day at. Since I’m the eldest, I usually do the household chores . I usually spend time with my friends at the volley court and sometimes we go out to buy and drink our favorite milktea. I always reserve my Wednesday and Sunday for church because Wednesday is my Novena day and Sunday is the special day to go to the church with my family.
3. Can you describe the modern Lipeña?
Modern Lipeña has the capability to interact with tons of people with her smile. She is outspoken and God fearing. Modern Lipeñas are resilient and an inspiration to others.
4. What’s your favorite Lipeño food?
My favorite Lipeño food is Goto. Ever since when I was a child it is my favorite breakfast. Unlike in the other parts of the country wherein they say goto it is the lugaw but here in Batangas since the cattle capital of the Phil. is here, Goto of Lipa Batangas is the best. With the smell of onion and the delicious beef soup.
5. What made you decide to join Miss Lipa Tourism 2020?
I decided to join Miss Lipa Tourism because I believe I am a true Lipeña who can promote our City not only the beautiful places here but also inhabited by hospitable Lipenos who are all law abiding citizens and above all people who are God fearing and beautiful as well.
6. Why do you think you should win Miss Lipa Tourism 2020?
I must be declared and bring home the crown of Miss Lipa Tourism 2020 because I believe I have all the means to convince and encourage tourists to visit my beloved city because I possess strong personality and intimate and strong passion to represent every Lipeños’ pride.
7. How do you plan on helping your fellow Lipeños as a candidate of Miss Lipa Tourism 2020?
As a candidate of Miss Lipa Tourism 2020, I have an advocacy of Optimum Health for Elders. Aside from that I can help my fellow Lipeños by supporting local economies … including our best food, experiences, culture and the like. When the other folks have chosen to visit Lipa and see the goodness of our hometown it will create demands and growth for many more industries. Once the city becomes more popular, investors will create and build businesses here. Through this I can generate more employment for my fellow Lipeños and play a significant role in their development and will definitely boost our economy on top.
8. What is your advocacy?
My advocacy is “Optimum Health for Elders”. I want to tell the fellow Lipeños how important are the elders in our life. They are one of the reasons why we exist in the world. They are the ones who protect us so this is the time to give back all the love that they gave us. Give them a lot of love respect and care. I believe what Pope Francis said, “No elderly person should like an exile in our family. The elderly is a treasure for our society.”
9. What’s your message to your fellow Lipeños?
Lipeños, we already have one of the biggest treasures and that is having the beautiful city. In having a beautiful city, it has only one thing that we should always remember – take care of it, continue the good things that will help our city grow. Keep obeying the law and always put God at the center of your life.
10. Why do you deserve to be chosen as the Hello Lipa Brand Ambassadress?
I should be the Hello Lipa Brand Ambassadress because I have the Lipeños’ attitude that an ambassadress should have. Lipeños are known as hospitable and God-fearing citizen. I know I have it. I am resilient and I always look in a glass of water as half full not half empty. Specially in these times, there should be me to should stand as an inspiration telling everybody to hold on and keep the faith
